Overview
The Attivio platform is designed to be a scalable platform in terms of document and query capacity. In addition, the deployment and run time footprint of the system can be scaled from a bare-bones information retrieval toolkit to a full featured unified information access platform. Developers can choose which modules to install or which modules to use based on their specific business requirements.
Modules are added to or removed from Attivio installations using the aie-exec modulemanager tool, and are added to Attivio projects using the createproject tool.

Module Descriptions
Most of the modules below are shipped with every Attivio installation.
Certain Attivio modules are not distributed with Attivio because they are too big, are priced separately, or have other requirements that make them unsuitable for general distribution. These modules are listed as "downloads" in the table below. Please refer to the Add-on Modules page for more information on installing these modules.
